Duo dive for ARCHIE!
On Sunday 16th August Stephen Howitt and Andrew Strachan both did a staggering 10,000 feet tandem skydive to raise money for The ARCHIE Foundation.
After waiting for nearly the whole day in what were less than favourable skydiving conditions Andrew and Stephen’s patience paid off as the wind dropped and they were cleared to jump at just after 7:00pm.
They jumped from a height of 10,000 ft and landed with great smiles on their faces. Together they raised over £2500 for The ARCHIE Foundation’s Friends of Deveron Group. Their donations will be used in the redevelopment of the Turriff G-Med centre making it more child friendly.
In total more than 30 people had made the trek to Strathallen Airfield to jump for ARCHIE that weekend but only Stephen and Andrew waited until late on the Sunday evening for the weather conditions to be suitable for a safe jump.
Most of the others are all jumping at St Andrews Airfield over the weekend of October 17 & 18. If you would like to join them please contact the ARCHIE office.
