A Fish and Chip Shop, A Local Store and a Pub…

A Chip Shop, a Local Store and a Pub may sound like the start to a poor quality joke – but these three local businesses are anything but!
Managing to collect over five and a half thousand pounds for the ARCHIE Foundation they have all adopted the same fundraising activity.

And what makes them all similar? According to ARCHIE’s Fundraising Manager Peter Hutchison it is really very simple.
“They have all raised their money by having collecting cans available for their customers to drop their spare change into. You’d be amazed at how much of a difference this can really make.”
The Hilton Chip Shop, the Spar in Ashgrove Road and the Hayloft Pub have all recently passed significant landmarks in their fundraising for the ARCHIE Foundation.
With their last cans, the Hilton Chip Shop has managed to cross the £3000 mark all from their collecting cans. The Spar in Ashgrove Road crossed the £1500 level with their last cans and the Hayloft Pub crossed the £1000 level.
Collectively the three businesses have raised £5612.05 which is being used in the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital to help ‘Make the Difference’ for local children when they are sick.
