The Skies the Limit - Sign up now to Skydive for ARCHIE!
(above picture) Daring Muriel Gordon from Storoway completed a tandem skydive for the ARCHIE Foundation last year to celebrate her 70th Birthday!
The ARCHIE Foundation, the Official Charity of Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital are seeking adventurous people to take part in sponsored 10,000 feet tandem skydives which will take place in St. Andrew's over the course of the weekend of the 28th and 29th August, 2010.
- Both the skydive and training will be completed in one day
- You will be harnessed to an experienced parachute instructor at all times
- You will jump from at least 10,000 feet – just like the professionals
- Freefall down to 5,000 feet – falling through the air at 120mph!
- Ride the parachute down to the ground – the instructors will teach you how to steer onto the drop zone
- Landing is controlled by the instructor
- You will receive a certificate to prove you have completed a ‘two-mile high’ Tandem Skydive!
A minimum sponsorship of £395 for a tandem jump will apply. The ARCHIE Foundation team are always on hand to help you with your fundraising.
Age and weight restrictions apply for skydiving. Potential skydivers must be 16 or over and weigh under 15 stone.
