Birthday Jump for Lachlan
A brave Stonehaven grandfather is to celebrate his 50th Birthday by throwing himself out of a plane for the ARCHIE Foundation.
Lachlan McPhee, a Medical Sales Representative who works for a pharmaceutical company has always wanted to do a tandem skydive but just never got around to doing it. However his wife Nicola decided to surprise him with a voucher for his birthday.
Lachlan commented, "I decided that I should try to raise some money for a worthwhile cause. Everyone knows or knows of a child who has been unwell and cared for by Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital. The ARCHIE Foundation has had an impact on so many children and their families that I decided they were an obvious choice, all monies raised will go to the ARCHIE Foundation."
His 10,000ft jump is scheduled to take place on June 19, 2010 at Auchterarder Airfield.
