New Logo to mark ten years of 'Making the Difference'

New Logo to mark 10 years of 'Making the Difference'

The ARCHIE Foundation, the Official Charity of Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital has unveiled a new logo which will be used to mark the organisation's tenth birthday in September. The logo will then be used for a number of events throughout the following 12 months.

ARCHIE Director of Fundraising, David Cunningham commented:

"Since the ARCHIE Foundation was launched in September 2000 it has transformed every aspect of the care of sick children here in Aberdeen and the North East. Our biggest achievement, helping build the Children's Hospital itself has even helped transform the very skyline of Aberdeen. This new logo is a great way of highlighting the fact that there will shortly have been an entire decade of the ARCHIE Foundation - and that countless children and their families will have benefited from that."

In what Mr. Cunningham calls "challenging times for fundraising," thanks to the generosity of the North East Communities, the charity continues to provide a high level of support to the Children's Hospital and the many thousands of families who pass through it every year. Mr. Cunningham continues:

"As we reach our tenth birthday the demands on the ARCHIE Foundation are more than ever before. From life saving medical equipment to incredible extra staff posts we have never been making more of a difference to local children when they are sick. Over the next twelve months we also hope to see a number of significant projects launched, starting with the very first ARCHIE Nurse. None of this would, or will, be possible without the support of our local communities and we will always be incredibly grateful to the people of the North East for the difference they help us make for local sick children."

In addition to new projects the ARCHIE Foundation will be announcing a number of new fundraising events starting in September to help mark the tenth birthday of the charity.
