'2010 ARCHIE Cup' Golf Event
Golfers are set to tee off to raise money for sick children.
A charity golf competition in aid of the ARCHIE Foundation is to be held at Ballater Golf Club on the 17th September, 2010. The course is set in breathtaking scenery and is situated next to the banks of the River Dee. The day will include bacon rolls on arrival, a round of golf, lunch, a second round of golf and then a 2-course buffet meal with tea/coffee. Teams of four golfers are invited to participate in the '2010 ARCHIE Cup' at a cost of £180 per team.
Organiser Steve Gow from Ballater commented, "We are hoping to attract as many entries as possible to make it a great day, both for the golfers and for the ARCHIE Foundation."
Peter Hutchison, ARCHIE's Community Fundraising Manager added, "Last year's ARCHIE Cup event went extremely well. We hope to build on that success in 2010."
A four-ball at the prestigious new Castle Stuart Golf Links near Inverness is the superb first prize for the competition, along with the ARCHIE Foundation Cup. Located on the banks of the Moray Firth, Castle Stuart has been described by many as the 'Gleneagles of the Highlands.'
Stuart McColm, General Manager at Castle Stuart commented, "Castle Stuart Golf Links is delighted to donate a prize for such a worthwhile cause. The bravery shown by these long suffering children is nothing short of astounding. I hope that we can all play a part in making their lives just a little more bearable."
