Dunelm Mill raise £470 from Wallace & Gromit's Great British Tea Party
Wallace & Gromit are calling on people across the UK join The Great British Tea Party from the 1st - 10th December to raise thousands of pounds for sick children in hospitals and hospices by enjoying a cuppa tea and a slice of cake.
From the 3rd October Aardman characters Wallace and Gromit will join Dunelm Mill staff for tea and cake on a national road-show to celebrate Wallace & Gromit Children’s Foundation as the Dunelm Mill ‘Charity of the Year 2011/2012’. Funds raised will go towards helping sick children being treated in hospitals and hospices across the UK.
Staff at Dunelm Mill in Aberdeen dressed up and hosted their tea party in the store on the 13th October and raised £470 which the Wallace and Gromit Foundation match give raising a grand total of £940. All proceeds are to go to The ARCHIE Foundation.

Thanks to all staff and customers who very kindly supported the tea party and helped raise a fantastic amount of money for local sick children and their families."
Dunelm Mill aims to raise as much money as possible throughout the year which will help fund a variety of projects for children’s hospitals and hospices across the UK, such as state-of-the-art medical equipment, family accommodation facilities, child-friendly environments, music therapy, arts programs and hospice care.
Nicola Masters, director of Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation, explains, “We are committed to enriching the lives of young patients and their families during their time in hospital, with every pound we raise making a real difference to their quality of life. We would like to say a huge thank you to Dunelm Mill and its staff for their tremendous support and wish them every success in their fundraising endeavors.”
