Hair today....gone tomorrow
Karen O’Brien has given a very personal double donation to two charities. She has not only donated her long hair to the Little Princess Trust, an organisation which provides wigs to sick children, but has also fundraised for the ARCHIE Foundation by asking her family and friends to sponsor each inch of hair being removed.
Karen explained on her Justgiving page: “It is time for my hair to get the chop... and this time I have decided that if it's going to go, it may as well be for a good cause! For every £50 raised, 1" of hair will get chopped…not only will I be a lot lighter on top, but the hair will be donated to Little Princess Trust to make a wig for a child.”
£599 later, Karen was nervous to lose 14 inches of hair but happy to contribute to two charities that support sick children. Thank you to Karen for her creative fundraising!
